Beryl Bender Birch is the director/founder of The Hard & The Soft Yoga Institute, her yoga teacher training school, and The Give Back Yoga Foundation. After graduating from Syracuse University, Beryl traveled to India in l974 to further her studies and has been teaching mindfulness through yoga for over 40 years. She is the author of four books on yoga, including Power Yoga and Yoga for Warriors, and is honored in the September 2015 issue of Yoga Journal for her lifetime work teaching yoga and meditation.
Eddie ArnoldAnatomy Educator
Dr. Eddie Arnold is a certified Airrosti provider and a Chiropractor. He graduated from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland Oregon in 2002 and has practiced in Washington, Idaho and now in San Antonio. His passion for treating athletes started in Chiropractic college and in his community based internship where he helped run the school’s sports medicine club and worked with a prominent sports medicine doctor in the Portland area.
Becky Rosenthal has owned her own private Massage & Shiatsu practice for over 10 years. She loves what she does and feels her work is a joy rather than job. Becky practices Engaged Buddhism and credits Zen master, Thich Nhat Hanh for changing her life. Becky is currently in a spiritual aspirancy program to become part of a core community of lay teachers called the Order of Interbeing, following the teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh and the Fourteen Mindfulness Trainings. This aspirany requires working with a spiritual mentor, daily meditations, personal reflections, studying and teaching about mindfulness and helping to start a Sangha (community of harmonious people).

Monika discovered yoga in 2007 while home for winter break during college. Amazed how after practicing just one month not only helped alleviate stress of being a college student, but also created a mind body connection she had never experienced before, she was hooked! She looked forward to coming home every summer and winter break to continue her practice at The Union – Yoga & Strength in San Antonio, TX. Because practicing yoga helped her create balance in her everyday life, after one year of practice, she knew should would ultimately become a certified teacher.
Nicole DeaconLeadership and Yoga
Nicole Deacon is the owner two Bikram Yoga studios in Phoenix, Arizona. She has served in numerous Bikram Yoga teacher trainings and is active in USA Yoga Federation. She has judged international competitions, coached ten national finalist, and one international finalist. Nicole created the OHM Yoga School, a yoga alliance approved program of yoga teacher training. She is a volunteer facilitator, specializing in Executive Leadership and Integrity training, for Omega Vector, a program in the art of Self-Knowledge. Nicole is also a certified level 1 Natural Movement (MovNat) instructor.
